Rehearsing the Fall
A videographic essay on masculinity, trauma, and verticality in pre- and post-9/11 Hollywood cinema. Through split-screen comparison, temporal alignment, and voice-over analysis, the work treats the falling male body not as spectacle but as an audiovisual metaphor — a recurring grammar through which American cinema rehearses guilt, failure, rescue, and the shifting responsibilities of masculine selfhood.
